How to Press Your DTF Transfer Like a Pro – 4 Easy Steps

1. Position Your Transfer Correctly

Place your transfer exactly where you want the design to appear. Avoid placing it over large wrinkles or seams. For tricky surfaces like hats or when using a home iron, use heat-resistant tape to hold the transfer in place—especially helpful as you gain more experience.

2. Press with Precision

Set your heat press to 310°F (155°C) and apply medium to firm pressure for 13 seconds.
We recommend testing on a sample garment first.

✔️ Use a Silicone Upper Platen Cover or Garment Protector to shield the fabric from direct heat.
⚠️ DTF transfers can handle extra heat and pressure—but your garment might not. If scorching occurs, reduce pressure first. If needed, lower temperature by 10–15°F and test again. A little trial and error will help you find the perfect settings for each fabric type.

3. Peel While Hot (or Cool)

Thanks to our Easy Peel Technology, you can peel hot or cool.
Wait a few seconds after pressing, then peel confidently.

If parts of the design lift or stick, simply place the film back down and re-press with increased pressure and heat (+15°F). Repeat if necessary—DTF prints won't be damaged by multiple presses.

4. Final Press = Superior Quality

Unlike many other providers, we recommend a final press after peeling.
Why? Because we've tested it—a second press dramatically improves softness, durability, and reduces shine.

✅ After peeling, cover the design with parchment paper or a thin cotton layer (like a T-shirt scrap) and press again for ~15 seconds.
✨ Want a glossy finish instead? Use a guard sheet for the second press.

Washing Instructions

For best longevity:

Wash inside out, cold water

Hang dry or tumble dry on low

Standard settings are okay, but delicate cycles extend the life of your print

How to Apply UV DTF Stickers – Fast, Easy & Flawless

1. Clean the Surface

Before applying, make sure the surface is clean, dry, and free of dust, oil, or moisture. Use rubbing alcohol or a lint-free cloth to prep the area.
This step is essential for strong adhesion and a smooth finish.

2. Peel the Backing

Carefully peel the white paper backing to reveal the adhesive sticker layer attached to the clear transfer film.
Make sure the design remains fully stuck to the transparent top layer.

Pro Tip: Work slowly to avoid separating parts of the design.

3. Apply and Press Firmly

Place the sticker onto the desired surface using the clear film to align your design perfectly.
Once placed, press down firmly across the entire design using a squeegee, credit card, or your fingers. This helps eliminate bubbles and ensures maximum adhesion.

4. Peel Off the Transfer Film

After pressing, slowly peel off the clear transfer film at a sharp angle, starting from one corner.
The design should now be fully adhered to the surface with a glossy, seamless finish.

If any section lifts, press it back down and rub firmly before peeling again.
